About Convertoverse
Convertoverse is an independent file conversion tool built around one idea: converting a file shouldn't require creating an account, watching ads, waiting in a queue or handing your data to a stranger.
How conversions actually work
Images and PDFs are converted entirely in your browser, on your device, using its built-in image engine and WebAssembly codecs. Those files are never uploaded anywhere — there is no server involved, which is also why the conversion is nearly instant.
Video, audio and office documents need encoders that browsers don't ship, so those files are sent to our servers over HTTPS, converted with ffmpeg or LibreOffice, returned to you, and deleted immediately. They are never stored, inspected or reused.
Every converter page states clearly which of the two modes it uses, so you always know where your file is processed before you drop it.
Why we built it
Most online converters funnel every file — including private photos and documents — through their servers, wrap the result in sign-up walls or watermarks, and monetize the friction. Modern browsers are powerful enough to do most of this work locally; Convertoverse simply uses that power.
The tool is free, has no accounts, no watermarks and no daily limits, in English, Spanish, Catalan, French, German, Portuguese and Italian.
